EDGAR ALLAN POE FILM ANTHOLOGY
Edgar Allan Poe was one of the most important and influential American writers of the 19th century, renowned for his mastery of mystery and the macabre. The twists of fate in his imaginative storytelling and his tales of horror gave birth to the modern thriller and detective genres.
The three short films were executive produced by Jenő Hódi and written and directed by various Budapest Film Academy students. Each film has been completed to a high professional standard and is ready for theatrical or cable TV distribution.
A fourth short film is currently in development, and upon completion, the project will form a 95-minute Edgar Allan Poe anthology. These horror–thriller shorts explore timeless themes of death, regret, and lost love, bringing Poe’s dark imagination to life through a contemporary cinematic lens.
